How holiday dates are set
Federal holidays follow 5 U.S.C. 6103: fixed-date holidays plus the Monday and Thursday rules (for example, Thanksgiving on the fourth Thursday of November). Observed dates are shown when a holiday falls on a weekend. Easter is calculated with the standard Gregorian method.
